i'm looking for some advice on buying an air compressor.
i want to spend as little as possible but i want one that will be capable of doing the jobs i need it for.
i'd like it to run:
impact wrench
spray gun
sander
maybe a drill and angle grinder/cutting tool
what do i need to look out for? power? capacity? pressure?
also if you could post a link that would be very helpful.
thanks :)

I have a 50 litre in my garage it has a good amount of power for spraying and run my impact wrench and air ratchet happily enough

do you think i will need a 50 litre then rather than a 24 litre as they are about twice the price.

obviously you couldnt paint a whole car with one you would need a better one than a 24 litre but for little spraying jobs its ideal :y:

that would be great thanks.
i wouldnt be using it for any major jobs.
i will mainly be using it for jobs such as lowering or spraying the odd pannel and sanding prep work.

I bought a Clarke 24litre 1.5HP 7CFM off of EBAY and its pretty good i paid £66 not including delivery. i think delivery was about £16.70 or something as it weighs quite a bit. Seems to do everything you want to do with it as thats what i bought it for aswell.

i bought a little 24 litre 1, but i think it struggles with my impact gun and that and for spraying its pretty useless, im going to upgrade mine for a bigger 1 as it boosts up all the time and eventually overheats itself

Havent tested it spraying as of yet but am going to respray and refurb my curbed and horrible looking wheels next week s will see how the compressor gets on. Will also to a thread showing what my alloys looked like an what they look like once i have finished. Thats if it turns out good lol
