Is it normal in cold weather for the revz to move up and down while the car is warming up. Mine did it yesterday and was idling between 1000 and 2000 on the clock

Saxos stepper motors play up alot mate, thats what controls the idle.

Mine does it a little... Not sure if it's normal... but by the sounds of it it means the stepper motors going...!

iv got a green induction kit on aswell so culd be a case of too much cold air at this time of the year

I would say normal, more like a common problem on the saxo!
My vtr used to do it, my mrs vtr does it :P
Does it bother you that much then? If so get it changed.

happened on my saxo and on my focus. Focus battery is on its way out though so could explain.
If you have loads of electric stuff turned on could also explain it.

Yeah and it might not just be the stepper motor, might be the plugs coils etc?

i don't know don't even have a rev counter! i can hear it go up and down sometimes when its cold though!

i wouldnt expect it to idle that varied
mines sits about 1100rpm when cold
id say steppor motor as it shouldnt be idling near 2000rpm
