We had a great day. We finished 31st o/a out of 119 entries and 8th in Class out of 23. The top 205 in our Class :clapping:
Stage 1 was quite funny when I went to change gear and the gear knob flew off, just after handbraking it around the first hairpin. I then drove quite steadily with a gear knob floating around under the pedals until the end of the stage.
We had a massive spin at Weeton at about 80mph under braking approaching a 90 left on a gravel section and stopped 4ft away from two very large raised concrete drains. I think Jason just closed his eyes and hung on:panic:
No major problems with the Pug, just a small adjustment of the clutch after doing 4 Stages without 1st and 2nd gears
The last 2 stages down the Prom were great fun, we even had our own fan club shouting and cheering on the final hairpin of the stage as I got a bit enthusiastic with our new WRC vertical handbrake
Thanks to C8James for coming along and introducing himself and his family to me, great to put a face to the name. Get some photos up when you get a minute
We hope to see more of you out on our next event. The Agbo Stages at Weston Park, near Telford on 11th March
