Im guessing due to the rear having handbrake, you cant use the fronts on the rear

oh right, would standard rear brakes be fine or are there any brakes that are relatively easy to get hold of, that would fit?

standard rears are fine, they do 15% of the braking if that.

The gti-6 brakes will be more than enough to stop a saxo, you nearly go
through the windscreen if you push them hard enough. There perfect for the
saxo, and cheap enough too. They also look very nice behind 15's heres a pic

so i guess an improvement on the back would be to use grooved discs, fast road pads and goodridge hoses.

just better pads will do. as said rear does jack anyways and grooved discs wont be worth it over the standard discs
