Nope, just grey primer, Rover Gunmetal Metallic, Clear laquer all from halfords. No problems with heat etc, many people have used the same paint ranges on here n ive had the fannymould heat shield sprayed for a week now and theres no issues.

would leve the paint a few days before touching it mate, it will get finger prints inbedded into it if you do it now as the paint will still be soft, i found that out when painting my 1st centre console whilst fitting my fingerprints were all over it lol

just put it on a low heat ... a average radiator in a home is 24 degress so say 40 degress to be on the safe side for a hour or so

Ben, which direction does heat travel???

use a lowish setting as its a crappy plastic. stick it at less than 100 do for 10mins, but keep and eye on it.

Cheers pred, just thought the settings might be different for metal, better conductor, paint might crack as in not sure how hot they get when bolted to the lump
