Just fitted a new exhaust myself, its just a VT backbox nothing special. When I took the old box off, a 1.1 bb, a load of kind of filler stuff came out all crumbly.
Im guessing this is used to create a tight seal, as ive now tightened up the fixing and lined it all up perfectly, but its blowing and it sounds shit obviously.
So, can i fix this myself, or would it be easier to get a garage to do it. And how much would this cost?
Cheers

Tried ages ago mate, sorry ive already showed you the love recently.
Just got it sorted, cost me a tenner as i needed a new bracket. The stupid biatch that had the car before got a 1.1 system fitted underneath the car, im guessing the cat went and this was the cheapest option. So thats why the exhuast didnt fit properly, fits nicely with the new bracket though. Will sort it out eventually when i get a decent exhuast, hopefully the 1.2 pipe isnt too restrctive
