Just been out working on the car, opened the bonnet but i dropped it it fell right down and shut! Opened it back up and the fuel cut off switch had fallen off of where it was held on to!?

I tried to start the car and NOTHING, so placed the fuel cut of switch were it was and pressed it you can hear the fuel tanks engage and it goes to start but dies straight away?

What have i done?

Help!

Not sure if the battery was flat it wouldnt chug atall would it?

hesslevtr
21st February 2007, 13:45
if completely flat no

it might have enough in it to try and turn over but not enough to do so if that makes sense

check the conections on battery to

might be worth trying the cut off again

riggsy
21st February 2007, 13:53
Tried the cut off 3 or 4 times now

Connections on the battery are fine, just put them back on and tried again but nothing still the same!

What the hell is it?

Just hook it up with jump leads, wont need to swap the batteries. If the fuel cut off had gone off it would just keep making that anoying sound and shouldnt even chug and shouldnt die. The chugging sounds asif its being starved of fuel or struggling to turn over :ponder:

Have you tried moving it away from the wall? Maybe its fed up being parked so close :P

riggsy
21st February 2007, 14:18
LOL yes i have mate ^

Ill go try the battery now...

riggsy
21st February 2007, 15:27
Swapped the battery and didnt work just does the same damn thing!

It must be something to do with me dropping the bonnet today!

What could it be?

stevenet15
21st February 2007, 15:35
