Hopefully PB can help me out here...I have noticed that recently that my wheels are starting to get little specs of brake dust on them. I have white wheels and clean them every week and have done since i have had them trying to keep them looking good. Once i clear away all the brake dust and dirt there is usually some little spots of either brake dust...or dirt, not quite sure but there is loads more on the front than the rear so im guessing its brake dust.
My question is are there any methods / products that you can recomend for getting this off my wheels as the little spec's are starting to build up :panic:
Thanks a lot,
Jamie

I use Autoglym clean wheels, removes brake dust well, also one you have cleaned your alloys use some Poorboy's Wheel Sealant (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb142wheels.html). This will stop brake dust sticking to your wheels so when you come to wash them again the dust and crap will fall straight off.

you could use a clay bar on them. get some sonus grey clay bar. and go buy yourself some stardrops from the local supermarket.
dilute it down in an unused spray bottle thingy (abput 3 capfuls rest water). and use this as the clay bar lube.

If its those black bits (tar) then the clay bar will work!
Sometimes also you just really really need to scrub it down.
My exhaust tip was really really bad, sat there for 30mins rubbing it down
with soap and water and it eventually came off.
To stop this in the future may be a good idea to use wheels wax?

clay bar or tar remover will remove these black spots. The black spots tend to be tar, or lumps of break pad if you have been brakeing hard, or have grooved discs.
Once you have clayed or used the tar remover on the wheels, get some wheel wax on the wheels, you can;t use normal wax as it is not suitable due to the high temp of the break dust.

Iv got 3 layers of poorboys wheels sealant on my wheels, that and weekly washing keeps them clean, although u need to remove your wheels every around 6 weeks so u can give them a deep clean

It's only noticeable coz they had stickers on, and I took them off to replace them. Underneath them it was so white! I was pleased with my wheels before, but seeing this white, I no longer am!
