I currently own a 1.4i Citroen saxo Westcoast Mango Yellow I was considering selling it to then purchase a VTS more Power. If I were to keep my current saxo as it is in good cond what other things could I do to see a nice performance increase - I have already done Stainless Steel Magnex Back Box, K & N Induction kit what would you say would be the next thing to look into. I just want more power on pull off not necassarily more top end speed.
Thanks

depends how much you are willing to pay..
new manifold,
de cat,
cams,
chips,
remap,
turbo,
nos,
but as above person posted, either just get a vts engine, or a vts. I am getting a VTS

Thanks for your replies everyone would there be alot of compatibility problems with putting a VTS engine in it would be a good idea because I love the colour of my car and I have done alot of sound deadening and interior changing in the process.
Would this manifold be ok

tbh mate, your never gonna get any decent power out of the 1.4 8v unless you turbo it. Cams etc wouldnt be worth the cost/gain compared to getting an engine conversion. I think you can get conversions from about a grand, 'Perky' just paid 2k to get a VTS lump in his furio but i think they saw him coming there

I was considering doing it myself and with a few extra hands from my mates and a friend that knows alot about cars etc... Or would you say get it done proffessionally ?

Yep i did it with the help of Williamsvts.
Good fun and I learnt alot. I would of done it myself, but im not confident with modern engines. Ive only transplanted V8s and bike motors.

ill do u a vts conversion for a grand!
costs only the cost of the engine loom/ecu if u know what ur doing.
Just make sure you have the correct crank sensor loom and unlocked ECU and you will be fine!

for a start a K&N filter won't do anything lol
and backbox won't either...you at least need full system...and then the exhaust system is still going to be restriction due to standard manifold so changing this would help.
you can spend alota money doing it, i have a 106 quiksilver and have seen people get them over 100bhp :y: what i am hoping for so i assume you can get there in the end and doesn't require cams and TBs etc to do it ;)
good luck with it all matey...
