When your CV joints are squeaky, does that mean they've had it or will they get through an MOT? bearing in mind its next week! lol

could just be a case of they need packing with new grease. you may have a split in the rubber gaitor so the grease is getting out.
don't know if it'll be a fail but they don't roadtest the cars on an MOT so can't see why they'd flag it up. would get it looked at though

Id say its more of a servicing thing mate, it wont make the car fail on being un roadworthy i dont reckon

If a cv's gone they usually just replace the whole shaft, did with me every time they went. You can get ones which you fit around the shaft and glue together but apparently theyre shite. i think its about 60-80 a side to get a garage to fit new shafts. Might be a good time to buy a warranty lol

My mates a mechanic Ben so all i need is the parts really, and he'll fit em for nowt. So cost wise, Whole new driveshaft did you say? might be a time to sell never mind warranty! lol

lol. Yeah thats what the garages seem to do, prob just cus its easier work and they get to charge more. Can get 2 new ones for bout 75-80 quid on ebay though if your mates gonna be doin it;
