When my car is idling it sits at about 900 revs but the exhaust seems very smoky , my m8s exhaust smoky when he revs a few times then dies down to no smoke, I have a 1.4i Westy with a Magnex Stainless Back Box.
What could be causing this too much petrol in the mix ??
Also how would i fix this great with IT but not brilliant with cars know the basics and can use tools just dont know how engine etc... works

i have this i have a 98reg vtr low mileage but seems to have more smoke coming out the exhaust than other cars / same as a few but then again the vtr exhaust tip is oval and big compared to pea shooters out there, the backbox tip is rusted so maybe this is causing a slight smoke when coming out, but got no problems with mpg or noise that i know off

you might be burning a little oil, or alot of cars during winter produce white smoke!

Hot exhaust gases into cold air make white smoke, the same as if you exhale and can see your breath.
black/blue smoke & its worry time ;)
