Boot wont lock!

Pressed my fob to lock my doors yesterday and i heard like a farting noise, did it a few times to see it was coming from the boot lock, the fob ain locking it but my key does, wot colud the problem be?

Does the central locking use a motor for the boot? could be the motor if so. Motor might of burnt out and now shortin, because if the key works it aint the lock itself.
