You could make an account on photobucket.com then upload them on there...then copy and paste the link they create to the avatar section in your user C.P...

as above ^ host it as a .gif on imageshack.us or photobucket and then user cp, edit avatar... easy as 1, 2.... 4

Ok. Are you sure you have used the "URL Link" from Photobucket?!

For example, if you use the "HTML Tag" or "IMG Tag" it won't work.

If you use the "URL Code" it should be fine :y:

trying to upload a few gifs of my own but keep getting 'remote file too large' why does it matter how big it is if its not even hosted on here...

Becuase the users on here have to load it every time they visit a page which slows down page requests etc and makes people unhappy. Small sized avatars are quick to load.
