So far we've a grand total of 1 entry into the Co-Drivers raffle, a pretty poor show:wall:

The raffle is not to make money, it's to give someone a taste of rallying and what its really like taking part in an event.

Is £5 too much for a ticket?

Are you interested or our we barking up the wrong tree?

Honest answers on a postcard please.........

Ant :y:

£5 is not a lot

But if im totally blaintenly honest I remeber you posted a thread awhile back about you smashing up a car

That kind of puts me of rallying with you, plus at the rally in the forst of dean last week a guy died in a 205 :O

Plus not many people on this forum are really into rally driving?

More info on the whole experince would be better too, not many people know about it

Dont flame me its just my opinion! Hope it helps

There are two possible events that Ant is able to accomodate this prize at... either 3 Sisters - Wigan - Sunday 6th May 2007 or Twyford Woods, 2wd Stages - Sunday 27th May 2007.

I got that from the shop...

Take a look at this, tells you all you need to know

In any form of Motorsport, accidents do and will happen, it's part of it unfortuately
Rallying is safer than driving on the road. All Safety gear will also be provided so don't worry

If you've never crashed your not trying hard enough. Even the best crash, Gronholm, the Solberg brothers and even Schmacher have had some pretty big shunts. It's part of the course

Speaking for yourself there mate. Ok so maybe you wouldnt get in a car with this guy but there are people that would and i dont think the crash really needed to be mentioned. As with all forms of motor sport there are risk's and i am sure measures are taken to ensure peoples safety at all times. Did you have all the information on this crash before pointing the finger of blame ? After all it might not be this guys fault and the way i see it is your blaming him for the crash. Unfortunatley accidents can and will happen no matter how many saftey measures are in place.

The only reason i didnt enter personally is because i didnt beleive i would have a chance of winning. Knowing only one person has entered has filled me with a bit more confidence :d.

31st March. I'm paying for everything, it's coming out of my budget for the years rallying. You just have to get there. I'm even paying for the lucky winners license :y:

He asked for honest answers..

Id rather know than not. I did not point a finger of blame I was mereley pointing out my reason for not entering.

Personally I think a PM should be sent to all the people in the original thread that shouted out "im in" etc etc

Then have never boverd to pay up..

Just my thought

You have my support on this ant, cracking opportunity.

Could you PM me a list of the dates, events and locations of the rallies you are planning to partake in this year. Allows a little structure to plan a NW Regional Meet around a rally.

He asked for honest answers and seeing as you gave your 'honest' answer i thought i would give mine. To be honest the way i saw it was that you were calling his reputation as a driver into question. This might be your reason for not getting into his car but by expressing it the way you did you could influence other peoples descisions.

Sorry to butt in but WHAT!? The guys says hes a good driver so him crashing shouldnt be a secret right? its sort of like someone saying, best not tell the kids the priest is a pedophile just incase it influences their descisions to go to church.

If i was considering getting in a car with somebody to blast around a track, then i was informed hed crashed before... id natrully have second thoughts. So by dan mentioning its good for the safety of people but probley not good for the sale of these tickets ("influence other peoples descisions"), which is what this thread is all about anyway :panic:

Well I consider myself to be pretty good:p and I think my results speak for themselves.

3rd in Class in the Kumho National Championship 2004, behind James Wozencroft who now competes in the British Rally Championship with a works Suzuki

2nd in Class in ANWCC Championship in 2005

2006 accidents & money meant I only did a handful of events:wacko:

Yes I've had some accidents, who hasn't?

Rallying is about driving on the limit and sometimes over it, 99% of the time you get away with it, sometimes you don't.

If you don't want to enter the raffle that's fine, all I am trying to do is get people involved with rallying and give someone an opportunity to see what it's really like in the hot seat, from this forum

I'm currently 2nd Overall in the ANWCC Novice Championship and also 2nd in Class

In the ANWCC Stage Rally Championship I'm 9th Overall and 2nd in Class

Not bad for someone who can't drive ;)

To be fair if one persons entered so far, lets leave it like that, He has fantastic odds of winning who ever it is lol

Nah.

id enter but where ever its going to be held is too far away for me, thought more people would be up for it tho
