Knew i was going to have to deal with this sooner or later. My dads office is away at one side of the house as far away as possible from the rest of the house and he cant get wifi signal down there, well it registers but its so poor it wont connect.

Anyone used any booster or forwarders or whatever thye are called or can recommend anything?

can't you get one of the super g routers which transmitt the signal further?

not seen the boosters etc, but might be able to get another router and bridge it, but seems a bit costly for what you need.

make sure the aerial is pointing towards his direction.. also, may sound silly, but get a large bowl. wrap tin foil wrond the inside of it.. sellotape the foil up, then take it off the bowl, and put that behind the router.. that should help deflect some of the wirelessness get to him, instead of behind...

haha, yeah as viper said loads of "ghetto" home made boosters: check here out, http://www.turnpoint.net/wireless/has.html

saves you spending the money on stupidly priced boosters.
