Is there a minimum depth that you should only really go to?

Bought some new brakes pads way back when and just havn't had the time to fit them. Went out today and went about sorting it but there seemed to be plenty on. Me and my bro agreed their fine but i was just wondering at what level have they 'had it'?

Wish i'd of took a pic now so i could show you how thick they were. Might be painting the calipers tomorrow so might get a pic.

Cheers,

Rich

Are your brakes grinding yet? If so CHANGE THEM!

love it haha.

basically what he said. the grind tells you to replace ;)

else you'll damage your discs and the cost for repair will go through the roof

I guess if i do leave them it'll provoke me to get some new discs, maybe bigger and better ones.... lol

When they grind you will score the discs - replace with new pads with the same scored discs and you will have the pads eaten away! So if it ever gets to that point, and it did on my 1st car..lol..then replace both pads and discs. The inside pad always wears more than the outside one. So thats what you want to check You can see by eye when to change them personally!

Cheers for the help people. From what ive seen i've got plenty of time before they get to that stage. Got the new ones in the boot and will probably change them in the not too distant future
