mine said that and i just ignored it still works fine, if you restore it you lose all the tracks off it and i dont have them all here to put back on :(

i no it didn't. I just want to know how i can drag and drop. Once the ipod (removeable) screen pops up, what do i do the. Save the extracted files to the ipod window?

Yeah it meesses everything up if you dont 'eject' it from iTunes every time you link it up. It never turns off if i dont eject it properly, i have to clear it and start all over again.

hold middle and and play button until the apple logo appears on the screen.

then plug into wall charger.

That will reboot the ipod.

if it still says it is sick. PLug it into your pc and install the latest update
