Morning Y'all

Need to lose the winter coat for the summer. I dont have time to go to the gym in my busy leckster life style i live but i am willing to do something to sort it.

Im not fat altho i have a nice belly at the moment, rest of the body is normal (non fat lol).

My Life stlye...

I dont have time for breakfast at the moment.
Lunch - Turkey, Letice and cheese sandwhich with no butter - packet of crisp and a can of coke
Dinner - could really be anything

I never snack between meals and never reallly eat sweets or anything.

weekend i normally have 1 or 2 meals all weekend but could be throwing alot of beer down the neck.

Im willing to give up drinking while i can sort this and sorting my diet, but i really know nothing about what to eat and what not to eat.

What type of exercise will be needed too?

Last weekend i bought some jeans and got a 36" haha, granted they were gstar and i like them loose fit but ideally i would like to be back down to a 34"

can anyone help me buff up for the chickadees? im not arsed about a pack of 6 lol but just want the little bump gone from my shirt.

thanks

well you say you have a bag of crisp's at dinner ...

on the back look at how many KCAL there is in that bag, cheesy wotsits have 95 kcal's

you might not evan eat 2500 cals a day but just a option to try out

I have the same problem leckie mate.

But I bought some cheap stuff from sports world and do 15/20 minutes jogging every monday/wednesday and friday mornings before work.

Just put my ipod on and jog.

Obviously the more stamina I gain the longer I'll jog for, but as were both in IT theres not much you can do when you have limited time available

Yeh, i think i could do with a little healthy living too.

My diet, day & week is pretty much as leckie just described his. although since the new parking restrictions have started since monday. i now walk for an hour uphill to work (the walk home seems to only take 40 mins though ;)) Its a 5 mile round trip :y:

Advise me :A:

Yeh all the streets around the city centre had parking spaces painted in em, majority for residents only and the few other spaces are now pay machines, 70p an hour & maximum stay of 4 hours. Bugger spnding £6 a day parking & having to nip down at lunch to top up the meter!

They were suppose to start at the begining of the year but they had problems with the machines &finishing the roads, just started on monday though

http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l47/DJ-Mystic/parking-restricions.jpg
Thats how it looks atm, red zone is new restrictions and from where im parked to where i work is about 25 mins walk. Its about half way between home and work

£20 reebok running trainers, £6 umbro running trousers, £2.50 for a umbro tshirt.

have to start work at 8:15am, but i live 25 mins away so have to set off at quart to 8 basicaly. so get up at about half 6 and get 20 mins in before work.

Should get me losing some pounds before my holiday in aug. :y:

Personally i found that changing my diet TEAMED with the gym had the biggest effect.

I cut out bread and alcohol for a month, complete detox and ate special k for breakfast salad (lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, some pine nuts, ham or tuna and sweetcorn) for lunch, and rice, chicken, beef, noodles, spaghetti and the such for tea. It is heavy on the protein in the evenings, and that's due to going to the gym before eatign (which, dependant on who you read is bad).

Generally a change in lifestyle is needed, and if you can be your own personal trainer, then you're on to a winner. i'd say to make a difference you have to make a change. You can't expect to change your shape or size if you don't make some sacrafice.

excercise and food intake both need a slight change.

Leckie, you know that at christmas everyone was surprised by my weight loss, well that only came through doing the above. so i know it works. Since then i've dropped another trouser size and have, according to the Fiance, got a kinda 6 pack going on. It's a good feeling and i wouldn't go back for the world (just yet)

you need to look at your carb consumption, limit to around 100-150grams per day of carbs and get them in before 1pm so you will have chance to untilise them through out the day, you can eat protein heavy as an excess of protein doesnt get stored, you just piss it out, unlike carbs, as the bodies natural fuel the body wont get rid of an excess, takes its, converts it and stores it around your vital organs and under your skin.

depending on what you weight and how much of what type of training you do will depend on the calorie range you can work in on either training or non training days...

and cheers for the map to your car..ill have some of my boys rob it, haha, just kidding..f*ck how guilt am i going look now if it happens! you got a good alarm, right??

I really could do with doing some exercise and losing das gut........but im comftable.....I think its just from the pure booze I drink.....dont really eat alot.

But you cant be a homo when your mates say there down the local in the beer garden have a mash up and you say your on a detox......you will be out of the circle of trust.....lol

Clouds_mate

notice how its us office bums that are turning in lard machines lol

So true, I wouldn't say I am or was a lard machine but if I didn't start dieting then I'd be unhappy with my weight. Lost a stone so far hehe

A bit of advise -

If you don't fancy changing the way you eat dramatically then go for lower fat/calorie versions e.g. diet coke instead of normal, walkers lites instead of full fat crisps and brown bread instead of white.

For exercise you want to be doing a few hundred sit-ups a day. Also, sex burns loads of calories :p lol

Clouds_mate
7th March 2007, 15:43
does sex with my hand count? I think the gf has stiched up the muffin.

I dont mind giving up shit and drink to get rid of the gut and working hard. But once i get rid i will start again but be more careful. I dont want to have to watch what i eat etc but i dont mind doing that now. I know a few will say whats the point but as soon as i get to my wanted weight size i will keep at it.

Sadly it's not just about calories. You need to think about the carbohydrates, fat (and saturated) and sugar you're taking in.

Mate come up with a good eating plan, join a gym... you could have muscles instead of fat within weeks. I been at the gym for just over a month now, Spent the first month just doing cardio, now ive moved on to upper body more with weights etc, seeing gains rather quickly! So im sure you can do it cus im a skinny f00k and i eat to much.
