Don't need spark plugs, only fitted some iridium ones last month, I was thinking about doing my cam belt soon but i've been advised to leave it for a little bit. Only on 38,000 so it isent needed just yet.

So we have;

Oil filter
Fuel filter

I'd rather someone with a mark 2 vtr tell me what oil's they use so i can get the same, that way im less likelly to mess up :oops:

Castrol edge sport imo. Expensive but offers the best protection from cold and when driving hard. ;)

Car's mileage is only on 38k but how old is it? It could be in need of doing matey

Also the oils you use depends on temp, look in your owners manual and it tells you what grade to use for what outside temps your likelt to be in..

yes very handy guide: http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=65315 same one

i always used 10w-40 in the vtr. If you can do the cambelt then might as well do it one of those things that doesnt cost much to change but if it breaks then could be very expensive:P

I used Castrol Magnatec - 10W/40.

I did that in October last year and she still ain't lost a drop of oil. I'd get the cambelt changed too, but get Alex or someone to do it as I personally wouldn't wanna fook up the timing. Make sure you get right oil filter too, they gave me a MK1 VTR filter and the MK2 is a cartridge filter.

I've told you about this stuff man grrrr lol...

Cloud dont touch that filth. it's only semi synthetic but cleverly marketed to appear as fully synthetic.
costs a bomb and doesnt offer any goodness reflected by the price
