View Full Version : Mot tomorrow but Exhusrt problem let me no if it will pass?

right my mot is tomora but sods law my exhusrt has started blowing (i think)

its a standard exhaust on a 1.4 furio

some people have said i will get a advisory for it will i ?? it sorta loud around 2000revs but sorta goes at bout 3 when i change gear

yeah depends on the tester mate he might let it go as long as you get id sorted

could always get some repair paste from halfords for the mot and change it after :y:

I think as long as the emissions are ok it will still pass :y: and as long as the noise isn't over the legal limit... they didn't comment on my sport exhaust...

You will just get an advisory, that it will need changing soon...

At worst you have 10days to sort it and retest it, not the end of the world...

well i ifnk wot ill do it if it fails then ill jsut go get it sorted at a garage and i get a free retest if it fails so then should pass

it will probley fail if they pick it up if its only a little hole and not very loud they may not

all depends on the tester

not all garages do a free re test

mine does that y i sed it 14day... but im gonna get a new back box in the morning want it to pass first time really cuz other wise it more and more hassle of getting it ready for next time

Maybe mention it before you get the MOT done so they can have a look first.
If not then can you cancel and get the zorst sorted.

it will prob fail as all exhuast joins r ment to be sealed from leaks

just to let u guys no it was the mid section of the exhaust that was making the noice and i got a new one fitted 10min before the mot then drove to my mot and passed with flying colors :D

should have cut a coke can to bits, place plenty of putty around the hole and wrapped the coke can metal around the zorst so the shiny bit shows. used some wire to hold it on and away you go. ;)
