power training - around 6sets of 1-6 rep boundary depending on what movement. movement tempo of 3:1 rest/recovery 2 - 5 minutes.
size training - anything from 6 - 20 sets of 6 - 12 rep boundary. movement tempo 2:2 rest/recovery 60-90 seconds
hate using the word but 'toning' work anything from 3+ sets of 12 to well anything you want, but the less weight you use the less muscle fibres you will recruit. tempo can be varied and rest 30 - 45 seconds.
if u wanna look like bruce. do 100 sets of 5kg ! lol

power excercises need to be done at speed.
so a lighter weight, with a greater speed is best for this. if you just want to develope bulk then heavy is better,. however i wouldnt go straight into heavy, firstly you need to learn the technique (unlike most meat heads who think you use your back for bicept curls) and increase the stabilisation which you need when you go heavyer.
