feels or sounds like its the front driver side on a 98reg VTR squeeking,

checked through receipts dont think its had pads changed or that i could see in 50k which is what its on, is there much point paying for all this greese / sprays when its more than likely to be pads .? what do you guys rekon try doing? because if i go to a garage regardless if it needs pads or not they are more than likely to say it did

get some copper grease/anti seize grease. you can get some form ebay for about £4 delivered for a 500ml tub. you will never need anymore in your entire life.

buy yourself some new pads from here:

https://sslrelay.com/buypartsby.co.uk/brake-pads-final.php?recordID=2879

have a look on here in the guides section about changing your front brake pads.

Smear some of the copper grease on the back of the new pads and replace the old ones. that should get rid of the squeek.

It will cost you about £25 to do this and about an hour of your time.

Every car I own has rattling breaks! I did have squeaks on the vtr but new piston, pads and disks stopped it.

Don't know what to do about the rattles though, all the garages try something different but none seem to work.

copper grease the back of pads

clean all the slides where the pads sit

maybe a tad of grease there to

that should prob cure it

also remove all the rust from the disc
