Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anyone could give me a DETAILED explaination on how to fit my OMP Lower Strut Brace. I heard it's quite complicated compared to the upper one so I don't want to mess anything up.

Thanks,

Luke

it's a joke. Mine is too long...

There is one bolt either side of the car. I think it's weishbones but you will see them when you are under.

Take the nut off, don't take the bolt out, slide the strut brace on and tighten the nut back on over the top.

Too long?

How does that happen? Yeah I have heard of the wishbones before, from that explaination seems pretty straight forward.

Thanks.

I dunno, it's like 5mm too long so it wont go over the bolts. But I've tried with wheels on the floor so it might need to be in the air to go on. I don't know lol :n:

Its easy to do mate, hardest bit is refitting the drivers side wishbone bolt i found, it was slightly more fiddly to get anything onto after sliding the brace onto the bolt.

A bit of wriggling though and it soon went on, you'll have no problem

Cheers mate.

I won't be fitting it until next weekend as I only bought it tonight, was just curious.

It's gotta be done though.

She usually complains if I touch 'em now because of the baby making them sensitive.

i know i'm bumping a thread here, does anybody know if the wishbone bolts have to be tightened to a certain torque rating or just 'tight'. i'm halfway though fitting mine atm and just wanted to know :)

Not sure mate, I ended up getting mine fitted at Manic Motors when I got the car lowered at the same time.

Seemed the easiest option at the time.

just had a word with kam and they've said that as long as its pretty tight plus 1/4 turn then its ok :) - if i do find a torque rating, i'll whack it up...
