Si,
This happened in mine, the strut was slightly too long.
I had to put one end of the strut in the vice, bend it slightly and then do them same to the other side.
1 sec Ill do a vid to explain where to bend it.

ok so,

1/ First off, get a piece of cardboard and put the strut brace on it, mark the position of the holes on the cardboard to measure the bend you are putting on it.
2/ Put it in the vice in the position shown in my diagram :P MAKE SURE IT IS STRAIGHT..
3/ Apply pressure where shown.
4/ When you feel it ever so slightly bend, take it off and compare it to the position on the cardboard.
5/ Do the same on the other side. You will be able to see that the holes will come slightly closer together on the carboard.
Bit of a bitch of a job to do but it's definetely worth it, really tightens up the bottom end.

hi
i put 1 of these on my saxo & it went straight on, perfect fit.
only thing is i had 2 take it off because it was literally an inch from the floor & kept hitting the floor because they sit quite low.

by the sounds of it you have put it on the wrong way round
its really simple todo and didnt have to put mine ina vice or bend anything
just need a little tap to get it in and it was as simple as that

Yeah it does mate Thanks alot!!
I'd already tried it this way, fits fine, but cudnt get anything like a socket in to tighten the nuts to the bolts.

I put mine the right way round and it didn't fit so I had to bend it. Might be something to do with mine being a 1.1 ?

was looking at getting one of these.
hessle how low is your car? does the brace ever catch anything?

boz my vtr had one at 50, never used to catch on anything, well if you went to fast over a speed bump it would
i cant see how they wouldnt fit, they are all the same, plenty of people have them, first ive heard of someone putting it in vice to bend it :S

its 50mm
i havent got it no more yatesy has it
it did catch on some surfaces and needed to take some speed bumps at angles
its a really good mod though
especially for track

Scott mine fitted perfectly on the 1.0, if i remember correctly the OMP logo actually faces the rear of the car and as Hessle says the nut goes into the hole. Passenger side nut was easy to do, there was something in the way on the drivers side which made it a little more tricky.

Mines never rubbed or caught on normal speedbumps either, been over some pretty steep ones.
Id avoid driving over stray bricks or debris in a road though, its caught on a brick and ive had part of an animal dangling off mine :)
