Hey,
I was browsing through this http://www.suzukituning.com/PSA/Suspension/Lowering.htm?sub_category_id=25&cat_category_id=2 guide yesterday and it got me thinking... Is this the correct way to lower the torsion bar? I thought this was the way that you are not supposed to do it, it looks to simple and quick. Maybe im wrong.
Anyone know if its right? :y:

yeah that is the right way and its not a simple as it looks as 90% of torsion bars are seised in and a bastard to get out

Yeh I know they are no longer new. Its just I was looking at that guide and it seemed very qucik to do compared to that badger motorsport one. Just checking the ones people are posting are the correct way for people to try and have a go.

this guide is a bit misleading
http://www.suzukituning.com/PSA/Suspension/Lowering.htm?sub_category_id=25&cat_category_id=2
do you have to remove the torsion bar bolts from both sides when lowering?
(as in step 4 and 5 in the web guide)
or could i just do the left side first and then the right independantly???
thanks
will rep

you have to remove both the end bolts coz if not the off-centered washers will be holding one end in still

also last Q mate, do i put both torx bolts back in the bars once both sides have been adjusted?????
cos in the guide it adjusts the left side first, then it says put the damper and torx 40 bolt back on :(

remove both the torsion bars, raise the rear arms 2 desired level and then put the torsion bars back in leaving bolts and shocks off. put the wheels on and then take the car off the axel stands so its sitting on the ground, make sure its all sitting level and right. then jack up and put all bolts back in as u dont wana put all the bolts back in if you have not doen it correctly

thanks mate, i am just down on spax 40mm springs mate so maybe some one that has the kit u linked can tell u if its anygood but looks ok to me. i have heard great reviews of the PSX kit but then its an extra £100 but worth it from what i have read

no probs, i was thinking of that kit as its a bit more than just lowering on standard shocks and i was planning on getting a rear ARB from a vts as there thicker and make it much stiffer at the back end
