the wax is a last step product and will be your sealent, some people choose to add a glaze after the polish and before the wax, but i just polish then wax then a final wipe over with a quick detailer to make sure all residue is removed.

different products achieve different results, you can get glossy, wet, flakey looking paint etc, if you experiment you will find a happy medium and stick to it! then you will be doing other peoples cars and finding out about tough vag paint, soft honda paint and what products look good on different colours :)

a sealant locks in the polishing oils and enhances the reflection whereas the wax enhances the depth of clarity ie: wet look. if you want a glossy look you can seal first, then wax or vice versa if you want more shine.

i tend to go for the sealant first as it lasts longer than a wax and since it takes longer to apply coz the drying times, it makes more sense to wax more often. you can use autoglyms extra gloss protection or jeffs acrylic jacket.

i only detail for fun, but charge to do other peoples cars and spend the money on topping up my product collection :)
