Here you go guys, the start of some thing great my saxo still looking very standard but that is all to change. Spax psx 40mm kit going on maybe this week or next, then next mod will have to be exhaust system. Standard lights went back on last week, and pipercross filter fitted, engine photos coming soon.

Big fan of the euro look, and was thinking maybe black wheels at some point some keskins but that wont be for a while, so yeah maybe a full magnex system but with back box painted black so i dont have the drum look, and de-badging including the 16v ones and black angel eyes. thats all i really have in mind at the moment, i have color coded dash and all that satan black and a few other bits on the inside like the center pillers and just started sanding the rear ones, also started sanding down the gearstick console to also spray satan black, erm and some vibe slick 5inch door speakers and plan to get some vibe slick 6x9 in the back.

Clouds_mate
30th March 2007, 13:05
Nice, but you need to go alot lower then 40mm to make the rimmage look sexual.
liamk15
30th March 2007, 13:13

Yeah I think 60mm will be better than 40mm but what can i do now, i mean i have the spax psx kit 40mm or unless (not sure if this will work) but can i just buy 60mm springs for the kit, will that work, then i can just stick the 40mm springs on ebay?
djrem

yeh you could just buy 60mm springs mate! if your cars down 40mm it wont pull the wheels off at all
Skorpion
31st March 2007, 20:40
Wheels look good mate. 60mm is a minimum for euro style. Get some springs and get the wheels fitted!
NoFace
2nd April 2007, 15:39
Here we go some pics of them on the car after a quick wash, I also took off the 16 valve badges, so how low am i going to go... 40mm? 50mm? 60mm?

60mm for sure. Get some tyre shine on there too.

2nd April 2007, 15:56
wheels are nice, but you have put them on the wrong sides, they point the wrong way
NoFace
2nd April 2007, 16:05
are you sure, i had them fitted for me, i think they are on the right way.
<<< rotation , thats what it says on the tyres i just went for a look.
Yates
2nd April 2007, 16:15
defo on the wrong, the ones on the passenger side should be on the drivers side, and vice versa
Davekelz
2nd April 2007, 16:20
The wheels are looking really nice mate, will be alot better once its down 60mm (for euro look). Think Matts right though, they do look to be the wrong way round.
NoFace
2nd April 2007, 23:07
no checked it out, they are on correct the rotation arrows point to the front so they okay. every one saying 60mm so far, fair play it will look great but i worry about droping it 60mm.

Got a comment on my new wheels tonight... bit small arnt they :boxing:
Saxo-Slag
3rd April 2007, 00:36
What profile tyres are they. It needs slamming. I would go 60front 80rear
NoFace
3rd April 2007, 00:48
They are 195/45. damn thats low, I think a little to low for me.
Hopcraft
3rd April 2007, 11:13
i knew those wheels would look shit if you kept it at standard height, i think they will compliment the car a lot more once its slammed, id say 60 tbh mate. imo you should always lower before putting aftermarket rims on !
aj-vts
3rd April 2007, 12:46
will be sweet when slammed, will be keeping an eye on this one!!!
Tupps
3rd April 2007, 12:54
nice rims.....slammed and she'll be awesome
saxoash
3rd April 2007, 13:17
umm not too keen, would have looked better with decent tyres stretched over them, also you will need do be down atleast 60mm on front and rear to suite so that would be like 80mm
VTS_16v_Boy
3rd April 2007, 14:25
They are 195/45. damn thats low, I think a little to low for me.
When me and the missis where out for a walk in the local country park we saw a New Vectra D SRi (not Desiel they use letters instead of Mk's) on 19's with 35 profiles :panic:
Hard as you like!
Unsure about the wheels but that should change once you swap the 4x4 suspension for lowered items 60mm 60mm I reckon 60mm 80mm might be abit drastict but you might be ok :y:
French Plates/Colour Coding and debadging will go along way towards the euro look with out spending a fortune
Jimbo
3rd April 2007, 14:54
60mm for sure mate, i also think you should maybe have gone a little lower on the profile?
Maybe somthing to think about when these ones need replacing. :y:
Richardson_VTS
3rd April 2007, 16:41
Not sure on the wheels atm, will probs look better once slammed and smoothed!!
mark16v
3rd April 2007, 16:44
Not keen on the new wheels, needs lowering for sure ;)
samcook
3rd April 2007, 17:23
id go 60 on the front and about 80 on the back and then get some different tyres to get the stretched look!
NoFace
3rd April 2007, 18:53
Right made my mind up i am going to drop it 60mm all round on spax psx kit, that means i will be selling my new 40mm spax springs and buying some new ones, what 60mm springs shall i get guys, the spax ones to go with the kit?
saxo2tone
3rd April 2007, 18:59

5th April 2007, 00:57
Thanx for all the comments guys. I know the wheels only look half good at the moment, I am going to slam it 60mm on spax psx kit, maybe i can get myself a coilover kit at the end of the year, just got to pay off my wheels then I will get my kit fitted.
As for the rest of the plans bumpers will be all colour coded at some point, front lights will be replaced not sure yet of angel eyes or just the standard black ones, smoked jewels for the rear and smoked side repeaters at some point aswell, And I have a plan for a powerflow exhaust some thing along the lines of the letter box backbox sprayed black so it looks nice and slick. any suggestions are very welcome. O and yes debadging the tailgate (16v badges have already gone).
ChrisJ
5th April 2007, 11:06
Dont spray the backbox mate, get a hidden one fitted, and then smooth the exhaust cut out over. Euro styleeee!
Hopcraft
5th April 2007, 11:12

NoFace
5th April 2007, 21:17
Thats very close to what I plan to do, thats a very fucking nice saxo. Colour coding, only going to drop it 60mm all round though becuase alot of speed bumps near me. love the bonnet but what I was planning on doing with mine was to keep the meshed grill, untill I have the funds, then to get a dimma grill smoothed into the bonnet, I feel I really need that airflow ya know. As for the exhaust I was thinking about hiding the exhaust but at the moment I am liking the idea of the exhaust in the shap of a letter box and being sprayed black and sitting in the rear bumper perfectly, might have to get a photoshoped pic to show you what i mean, I just think it will look slick and sex on my sax and yes different, I know I am going the euro route but I dont want to stick to too many guide lines. Can always change it anyways...
Thanx for the comments guys, keep em flowing.

6th April 2007, 11:46
Hey mate, they look nice. However, i'd ring them see if they will change them to the ones you actually wanted in the pic, and see if you can get some lower profile tyres with the newer ones. Once you get the newer ones then slam it, then it should look ace! :y:

the size of your wheels are 7jx15??
NoFace
6th April 2007, 19:54
Yeah I like the black polish style to, but they cost a bit more, but any way I might plan on getting these sprayed satin black either end of summer or end of year, but will have to see how i feel and maybe a few photoshop jobs to make my mind up. 15" by 7" by the way. Not sure if i would want to change my wheels now, I have fallen in love with them but still will see what they say.

Riska, those wheels are 16" Kershers with 40 profile tyres.
Curran
6th April 2007, 21:12
sorry to say but i dont like the new wheels at all. they look like an ugly set of hub caps to me. the ones you thought you had bought look better but still not to my taste.
the rest of the car is looking nice though and will look far better once lowered. 60mm will be a nice drop. most of your plans sound good as well :)
ads car is pure SEX. one of the best saxo's imo. just needs to remove that rear splitter ;)
