Dom, one of my mates is a ford head through and through he had a couple of escort turbos and now has a sierra cossie 4x4 running 330bhp. His last RS turbo was mint it was immaculate inside/out and underneath and was pretty fast though he had only done mild things to the engine

id go for the mr2 turbo! looks well smart wen it has been dun up! sam 1 2day wit a veilside kit 19" wheels, custom exhaust and sum lexus style lites! looked and sounded the dogs!!!

id go for the escort rs as for that money you will find a mint one and prob have money left for a few bits. im one ford nut and cant wait to afford the insurance on an fiesta or escort rs turbo. my mates bro has got a fiesta with 230bhp and thgat is a beast. smileys/smiley17.gif

really depends on your insurance situation mate.. 3-4 grand can get u quite a bit in 2nd hand/used cars...

if u got a decent insurance record.. look at:-

nissan pulsar
nissan 300zx
mitsubishi fto
vw golf gti 2.0 or 1.8
mr2 gt

... its really up to you, just remember jap = expensive parts...german = expensive servicing.

if i were you tho id hang onto the vts and save up a bit more then try pick up a lower milage/better condition car.
