Yeah it is tough. iv got a few mates who've done it and my gfs dad is a firefighter, they all sed it would be tough! the interviews the hardest part though!

Was a suprise test, pushed myself soo hard but shouldnt of eaten beforehand.
Got to level 15 and died.

that 5 meters made a huge difference.

That is basically hell brought to earth, we used to do it once a year at school and when i heard each time that we were doing it i used to dread it! So feking hard! lol.. I'm just an unhealthy load of shit tbh though.. lol.

average ability is level 6 to 8 so if an individual applys them selves say twice a week for 6 weeks level 10 is in easy reach of most! and yes i know its 20 meters mate, same as royal marines and any military, as pointed out its police and the prison service as well that run it over 15 meters, which is actually a different test as its different timed bleeps and a differing level of shuttles per level...

i managed level 10 at 88Kgs at 5.7 during the start off my off season, (cardio wise very unfit due to lifting 4 times a week) apart from the group fitness i teach i havn't done any cardio since i ran Reading half marathon back in 2001!

Bleep test, great test! I can reach level 16.4 thats Vo2 max 68 ish ML/kg/LBM iirc.

well boys and girls, just got the info about my physical test, and it turns out the pass level for firefighter is 7.2! and the test is actually terminated at 8.4! lol.

wasnt 10 after all...
