My new car Finally!

Its pretty obvious what it is but for those who dont know its a 206 Gti 180 in blue made in 2004 its done 33k miles and is immaculate.

Its a very sterdy car no rattles or anything sounds amazing. I never liked 206's until i saw & drove this :)

nice car man, only thing i hold against the 206's is the hazard light button which is the size of a ship!!! I know it needs to be seen, but blimey from 500metres away???!! Anything you could do to make it, well less obvious!?

Yeh insurance is to say the least abit on the steap side. The vtr would be left standing :) I hope to have my mums scoob as my next car in 3 yrs if not il have something newer hopefully but for now this 206 is a machine :).

The only thing putting off the white wheels is the fact id be without the car for at least a day which is not possible as im always on the road somewhere, But it will be happening in the near future.

At the moment im looking for a private plate for it one that took my fancy spelt out JAMIE J but its 3k which is just too much at the moment.

im going to make my nitro 206 look almost identical to my 180 including numberplates, colour & badges!! also going to cut a hole in the back of the shell and make 2 rubber exhausts that work coming from the motor and paint them silver/chrome lol sad eh?

Love the colour, got to admit what with the S 'still' of the road at present I have been looking around at stuff and the 206GTi keeps popping up.

I love the interior even the standard non 180 ones.

I think Id only have a 206 if I could find the big bumper GT model - Love em.

Induction kit looks DIY but as long as it works - Who cars, Bet it sounds amazing. Cant beat the sound of an open cone no matter how little they make a difference to performance.

Like all 206GTi 180's they all sit Far too high as they are on the bigger wheels to start off with.

I reckon a drop will soon resolve all your fears about the wheels.

If your looking for that true motorsport theme then maybe coloured mudflaps could improve the looks, again not everybodies cupa tea but . . . what floats your boat.

The white wheels work I reckon.

Sounds beefy like it will eat you.

As for the arches mine has the same as any other 180. You may have seen a 206 with SP plastic bits that make it look wider on the arches but i can assure you if you put mine next to a normal 206 you'd see the difference mate ;).

Thats what i think mate. How much do you think it would cost to get them done i could always re-sell these alloys after.

These alloys are obviously new even though they are fitted so i cant take them back, they cost 650 + a sur charge of £30 from halfords
Once i get my alloys refurbed does anyone think id be able to recoupe £600 for them? If i cant get used to them?

lowering is a must

Scorpion cat back will look good. the sound will be there with a slight performance increase with out looking out of place

Superchip? you would be better getting it remapped as the chip will be a generic chip that is made for all the 206 180 's. however the car would benefit from a remap after something like cams.

spark plugs are spark plugs. i go for NGK's personally

alot of people on here dont like EBC pads (me been one of them) as they take a while to warm up before they barke any good. the parameters of their optimum working temperatures are small aswell. personally i think you would be better with some Mintex 1144's or similar.

Disc's - good idea or some Tarox. would just go for grooved, but thats my personal preference

white rims would look mint, you could just spray your standard ones

tints - a very light smoke all round would look mint imo

i know what you mean, imo just upgrade the existing pads, disc's and fluid all round. then if you start to do some more aggressive driving (ie, track) then look for something like HP Spec, AP RAcing, Brembo, Willwood, etc...

I may buy a simota Carbon Induction kit for it but cant find prices on there site or where to order.

Standard alloys ftw in white i just hate these Team Dynamics atm.

Here is a tip mate use silicone on that induction kit if its anything like my gti it will suffer bad from heat soak and the alluminium pipe does it no favours and holds heat terrible

Love the car though mate i would of got one of these if they wernt so exspensive

Some git smashed my wingmirror & took the cap off the top. I found it smashed this morning :( im guessing it was either a bored chav or a chav with a 206 because in my area there are thousands of chavs.:( Cant seem to find a new one cheap either... its the passenger side one.

Heres my Simota induction kit. Arrived today & i assembled it straighht away. It comes with two Oilbreathers & brackets everything to fit obviously.

Will have to remove the last piece of the old intake aswell so really not the weather or lighting i need :(

I chose simota because A the kit is cheaper & B i wanted to be different plus this kit is specially made for my model. Simota said £265 for the kit when i messaged them but i bidded £80 including p&p on german ebay :)

As for the alloys no mate i wish lol does £180 for all four alloys refurbed & painted white sound good?

I havent had it done yet as i need a new exhaust which is on order but is taking 3 weeks.. thanks eccose.. the alloys can wait a little longer as i dont have the money atm so thought what the hell tbh lol

Defo get the front alloy mesh grille, why dont you have a crack at doing your alloys yourself? I wouldnt choose white, go for gunmetal grey or even polish them up.

ok well if you want a pro to do it then expect to pay a £ an inch and about a diver on top for each wheel. So each wheel should be £22 on your car.

Looking great mate like the intake looks very proffesinal, ive just won a manifold for mine on the bay and the sp grilles are on ebay for £69 i think someones flogging them im going to purchase one soon, What are you doing with the wheels you have on the car at the moment once the 180 rims are done

Fitted the kit tonight even with a blown exhaust it sounds good, Performance wise it definatly has improved throttle responce im pleasantly suprised as everyone doubts kits, I had one before and noticed no difference this definatly works!

Imo they looked to much like the standard gti alloys im a bit of a tart so i want people to know its a 180 lol nah i just love the 180 alloys dont know why i changed them,

Its been dropped in the pic but its going in like when my mate can fit it in at Elite in rainham just waiting for him to say the words :)

One thing i hate about alloys which ive found out is although ive only had them on the car since june people have said il get 450 max if im lucky gulp no kirbing or anything.

Not sure where it was but recently i read about a test on a 206 gti 180, some lad had put a after market exhaust on and it lots a bit of power, just shows how good the standard one exactly is :P

Lol thats the only one they do they are slightly bigger than the standard pipes its just the bit in the middle of the pipes that make them look big its got like venting or something inside lol

Its going to have xenons soon im getting morettes so i havent fitted them :)
The 180 can handle 200bhp + i heard they can handle up to 250 tbh

Lots of guys on 206info have theres running around 200bhp and have no problems with anything thats cat back+ pannel filter or induction kit + remap.

Some guys was 174bhp before a remap and without mods got 205 bhp and has no probs with the running.

"Well I was meant to be going to the remap meet on 20th Oct but due to new commitments I couldn’t make it but thanks to Ant (Pug206GTI-SP) he ask Angel if they could do mine before the meet at the same price they agreed and came on Friday while I was off work.

The guy was very nice and seemed to know what he was talking about he set out reading the ECU and after about 30 mins knocked on my door and told me it was done he took it for a little drive said it was good and handed me the keys. On initial thought it wasn’t very impressive but it did feel more responsive so I paid the man (Although he tried to charge me full price I was having none of it lol) and off he went.

I took the car out for a long drive on Friday and again it felt more responsive but nothing major it did seem better on petrol though so that was a lil bonus but I was feeling a little disappointed but the man from angel did say give about 60 miles for the lambdas to tell the ecu the new fuel reading etc so I hoped it would get better.

Well then on Sunday I went out again and filled the tank up and I don’t know what happened but she turned in to a different animal the car is so much more responsive and pulls like a train in 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th and has even got better power below 4k rpm now I’m very pleased with the out come its even better on the motorway now lol The fuel economy is also not to bad it down drink it when you cain it but when driving carefully its quite good now.

So all in all I’m very happy would recommend it to all 180 owner and a BIG thanks to Ant (Pug206GTI-SP) for all his help!!"

Problems with remap atm but within the next week it will, the guy said i will see a very big gain from the map.

(parltly because its running shite because someone else tried to remap it before but just increased the fuel going in to the engine and thats all lol)

Sounds about right that there is a noticeable difference after 60 miles or so. Has anyone had theirs rr before and after? What are the plans with the morettes and exenons? Was proberly de tuned by pug themselves lol. I love the car though matey, these are on my wish list!!

They are arranging a RR meet but i doubt i will attend as its always in brum or too far away from me obviously because they all live that side of the country they wont bother coming down here lol

My plans for the car are SP kit might keep the black bonet vents though tbh and just have lower grilles done, SP arches obviosuly colour coded and then the morettes :)

Tuesday i have been informed is the day my car will definatly be remapped he has the correct map for my ecu & since i took off my simota last time i lost the cold air feed and fixing kit because we moved house so i have opted for a BMC CDA and i will be selling the SIMOTA which like any induction kit will fit most cars :) £180 for the BMC kit fitted with the map lol god i spend alot on this damn car £400 last weekend...
