hi i have a saxo 1.0l mischeif and am looking at upgrading the suspension as atm the right rear is to soft and doesnt have much rebound.
so i was wondering what supsension kitsthey do for a 1.0l saxo to replace the torsion bar at the rear.

You can uprated torsion bars for the rear... but they are expensive little buggers if I remember correctly.
However you can uprate the shocks as you would the fronts which will improve rebound.
Plenty do kits, Spax, Eibach, GMax etc :y:

I could replace the rear beam with some vertical struts for coilovers but you'd need to budget about £2000 for it

I feel its prbably not worth doing on a 1.1 though... but its the only option if you want to get rid of the torsion bars as a means of controlling the spring rate.
You could as a cost effective option fit the Gti rear beam

more like £100-£150 :P
will look into a set of shocks any one recommened any that they have tried ?

My personal fav are the Saxo Bilstein sprint lines... got a set under my desk
Think they might still be above your budget so I'm not being very helpful BUT they are much better quality than cheaper brands and thats bourne out on the road.

ok well i think i will put a new standard damper on mine for the moment then and concentrate on getting some more power out of the thing at the moment then

to tighten the back end up, would you need ARBs or torsion bar???

hmmm i dunno..... the vtr shocks are prob stiffer and the springs i think
also the torsion bars are better
i want a spax kit :(
