Royal Mail... Poor Service.

Sorry Mr/Mrs Post-person, but just now you're really pishing me off!

Im waiting on a few things to turn up in the post, BUT we have not received ANY post at all since LAST Friday.

Now thats not right!

Last Friday the post arrived with an elastic band around ALL of the mail, as if it had been saved up for a few days!

No doubt this is due to holiday cover or something, but its still pretty poor!

Anyone have similar experiences, or have some insider knowledge?

i dont have that problem but did you watch the documentry on the royal mail the other week? the people that work there dont have a clue what they are doing and dont give a shit. smileys/smiley7.gif

we get all the next doors mailsmileys/smiley7.gif so our regular post man must be off at the moment as he knows to check the mail before post as theoften sort it incorrectly for the two housessmileys/smiley7.gif

coz having to work closely with royal mail as i do, i notice things take longer to get to certain places, and sumthings r INCREDIBLY quick to others.

ah, we get a number of ppl at work complain bout not gettin their stuff from manchester way, coz ppl expect it to get there within 2 days, has taken up to 4 days tho.

simo- was wot ur w8in to be delivered registered mail? or special delivery? or just normal post?

Just normal post... Usually it is next day for first class. (was actually quite impressed)

BUT in the last 2 weeks the post has gone crap! Must be holiday season I guess?

Still frustrating though!

wot sort of stuff r u waiting on simo? i sumtimes get mail for my mums best m8 who lives bout a mile away! says her name wit our address on the enevlope, and visa versa! we sumtimes get next doors mail!
prob the worst wud ave 2 b wen i ordered my lites! had 2 wait 5 months for them 2 come thru! but dat woz more demon tweeks fault! smileys/smiley7.gif

Its not to bad round my way, but i think its cos i'm waaaaay out up north east and the postal problems haven't reached us yet!

If you read the royal mail guidelines first calls is actually classed as up to 4 days and 2nd class up to 6/7days which is an absolute piss take!
