Car is looking superb mate. You have done a top job cleaning it! I was surprised how well clay bar work! I cleaned my mates the other day and she doesnt wash her car! Car is smooth and look great now I have clay bar'ed it!

I am yet to use a clay bar, am tempted to try one out this weekend. Any tips?

just keep turning the clay mate and use the quick detailer from meguiars to keep it lubricated, also split the clay into 2 balls i used one for top half and the other for bottom half, and do a little bit at a time hosing off when you have finished

then a good wash and polish will have it shining :y:

as said my mudflaps i got free when i bought the car and there staying for now, i like them :) the wheel i got because i wanted a snap off wheel for extra security and all other wheels dont reall have a cushion in the middle off and this one was cheap got it for 70 delivered from ebay :y:

Today i gave the interior a good going over in the garage

first of all was to give it all a good hoover, then i used some vanish upholstery cleaner and a scrubbrush to clean the headlining, then gave all the glass a clean with some perma clean after that was to make all my bits shine ;) i used autoglym leather cream on the seats and install, and finally some silicone spray on the dash and plastic parts

UPDATE all 4 wheels are now polished, its took me time but weather hasnt been that good lately, i actually tell a lye there im just damn right lazy

also cleaned me sisters car with the gilmour, especially for hessy but couldnt get pics as the batteries were bloody flat, nevermind though ill get them next time i wash the car probablies next weekend now

Also bought all my stuff ready for my porter cable to arrive cant wait to get using it, i have a few offers off mates so it will pay for itself in about 8 cars :p

yeah mate in the pics the camera makes them look purple but i assure you its the best match you can get for less than a tenner :y: real alcantara is 50 pound a metre

if you want some its on ebay its called faux suede and you need charcoal grey :y:

cheers mate one more question for you might sound daft tho. ive got the same headlights as you but i cany figure out how the lights come off the car. do you have to take the bumper off? when i open the bonnet i can see 2 bolts that hold them in but theres something else holding them in aswell but i cany see it . can you shed some light on that for me. cheers

there should be 3 bolts mate, one near the radiator and one on the top of the slam panel which are visable when you open the bonnet, the last one is below, take the surround off the bottom but be careful as the brittle well the clips are, and you should see one, i use a wobble bar to get to it, then its just a caes of unplugging and taking the light out

if you snap a clip doorcard clips work now problems, i have a load of them in the garage as i used to work at nissan :p

ive already broke one off the clips on the surround so that side is a wee bity loose but never mind, how does the other side of the surround come off does it just pull of or is there a hidden bolt for that to.

should be 2 clips on the outer side and one on the inneronce you have the inner side off first the other side should come off a doddle

alright mate ? where did you get your enclosed induction kit from? and how much was it? also i bought a strut brace is it easy to fit? do you just take the bolts out from the top and put it on basically, or does the suspension fall apart if you take the bolts out ? cheers

yeah mate just undo the bolts and put the brace on, the torque setting for them is 20nm :y:

First job was to get that nasty 2 pin plug off and replace it with the lead bought from detailing world, took all of 5 mins to do, plugged it into the transformer and span like a dream :p I must say didnt expect it to be this powerful speed 6 is immense lol

Another little update

Got my new hazard switch as i kind of knackered it during the process of putting a blue leds in, got the led in and thats now working and also did my heater dial, took me a good few hours to do but well worth it now it all blends in, just need the cigarette lighter done now, but need a clear one for that, only thing thats letting the side down is the headunit being green, i can either have green or amber so there could be a new headunit in line lol, also got some silvatec bulbs for my rear lights to take the oranginess out of them whilst there not in use :p

300 different colors on the display. I got mine set to Orange + Red to match

I didnt have enough leds left for the same effect as you, so ive wired it up so that the heated window icon is red aswell as the red bar, and the red bar fades to purple at the end which looks rather cool

there easy to do on the dials just need a steady hand and some patience, its best to use tweezers to pull on the LED while you stroke the solder with the iron to get them off :y:

i turned to sax-p to find a good height for looks and handling explaining i was going to have an install in at some point, so opted for a 60mm front and 40mm rear which was done for 200 with arch mods from PPS Motorsport.
