Despite reaching pensioner age last year, AND having 4 years NCB, my renewal came through for the VTS and it is MORE than last year (was £385 last year) - they want £401 :fcuk:, and that was after they knocked 10% off it for having 2 policies with them (Elephant)
Still the cheapest with all mods declared, Tesco, Churchill and that group won't touch me on the VTS, but can quote me £201 on the Zetec all mods declared - what is wrong with that lot lol!?!?!

You got twice as many yrs NCB as me lol! I have 7 years on a motorcycle, but no bastard will take them, as Direct Line and their posse (Churchill, Tesco etc) won't quote me on the Saxo

I used to work for EUI Ltd (who own elephant) and you'll definitley get a better quote if you do a fresh one as they always load renewals.
You may be able to get more than 10% off as well if you have two cars with them. If you have 4 years NCB on one phone them up and ask if you could mirror them across to the other policy if you have less on the second vehicle. They don't advertise you can do this but anyone there will be happy to get a manager to authorise it.
Just be aware they WILL try and sell you other products and some of the staff there are shit hot at it (I know several who have turned down managerial positions as they can earn a shed load more staying on the phones through comission).

Some companies dont see the difference between 4 years NCB and 8 years. Tesco used to say have you got 1,2 or more than three. You could have 10 years and you would still come under the 'three years or more catagory'. They have changed this to 5 or more now however.
Didnt know that thing about mirroring no claims from one policy to another, might have to give that a go.
My renewall is comin up in May. Im paying £900 Fully comp atm so anything less will be a bargain cause other companies want like £1300 average, even with a years no claims.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. BRENTACRE! Tell them the cheapest quote you've had and they generally beat it by quite a lump!

MUCH more expensive than Elephant - £698.90 so I will be avoiding them!
The lowest I have had other than elephant was £554.00,
Admiral (same as elephant) £462
Direct Line, Churchill and Tesco (all the same company now) Laughed at me - wanted £950 - SOOOOOOOOOOOOO expensive!
I got 7 years NCB on a motorcycle going to waste here too.....

Phoned up elephant - they cannot mirror the NCB to the Zetec S policy, BUT they reduced the TOTAL excess to £225 and the policy cost me £425 so I am happy now :)
