is it worth just upgrading to aftermarket brake pads? they much better than standard pads, ive seen some red dot ones i mite buy n just before i do just wondered if it was worth it

you will really tell the difference between standard pads and a decent set like Mintex 1144's

i highly recommend the mintex pads

I wouldnt bother on standard discs mate. Upgrade to a gti-6 set up an you'll see a big difference.

Only reason I see changing to uprated pads would be maybe to buy ones that
produce less muck (that sticks to your wheels)

yeah i dnt fink i will bother, id love to upgrade to that setup only truble is ive got a 1.1 saxo for insurance reasons n its got the lovely 3 stud disc set up and the brakes r awful im planning on doing some major work to it though, and finkin bout changing the struts over to 4 stud but i mean i dnt have a clue on the parts id need and how much work is actually involved in doing this aswell as the cost. in all id say ive a grand to spare at the moment so.
