mines 7600-7800
It must heve been chipped or mapped before or running a different box. Mine soft cuts at 7850 because I've had it remapped and it used to make peak power as the limiter was cutting in!

The 16 valve tu engines themselves were tested to 12k for up to x number of mins during initial testing! So now you know!!!

every engine is tested to its max until the rings start to burn away and melt

different gearbox wont make it rev any higher, vts's with unlocked ecu's seem to rev to a few hundred rpm more than standard limiter, so very possible this could be the case here.

i thought the unlocked ecu just removes the imobilzer code????
Sean

it does but for some reason it seems to raise the limiter by a little, it did with mine and has done with a few people on here.

ohhhh.... does it make a difference in performance once your beyond the peak power curve?????
Sean
