I bought this spoiler and then started to read up on how to fit them on here, and just found out there is two types (mrk 1 and mrk 2) and i dunoo what the hell this one is:

i really dont fancy screwing thru the back windscreen, so could i just stick it 2 the back windscreen with that tigerseal stuff. Where i live and where my car is parked is quite safe (touch wood) so hopefully it wont be pulled off!
if some one could help me i would be very happy.
thanks every one

some mk2 spoilers bolt through the window. the mk1's are bonded on, unless theyre after-market which tend to bolt on as well.
i suppose you could stick it with something, but not sure how well it'd bond to the glas. may also run the risk of the glass cracking if you use something strong

I cant remember if mine goes through the window?
It is that one i have though!
If it does go through the window and you dont have the rear screen that has the holes i dont think it will fit?

that spoiler in the pic is a mk2 spoiler and it bolts through the rear window, some people have used tiger seal to bond them onto the rear window rather then drilling it so u could do that if u dont fancy drilling holes in the glass

But surely the bits that go through the window would then sit on top of the window causing the fitment to be poor?

the only bits that go through the window are the bolts and u would remove them before u bond it

ooo so i cud just bond it on then, that would be good. i bet is costs loads 2 get it driller thru the window

Its bonded to the top of the car anyway, the bits that go through the rear screen are for extra re inforcement!
Can you remove the bolts?

mk1 spoilers are bonded and bolted but this is a mk2 spoiler and its not bonded its only bolted but if someone without the holes wants to put it on there car then they bond it. the bolts just unscrew

drill it yourself, jsut go slow and dont push hard, let the tool do the work not bruit force as it will bnrake the glass, oh and if u do decide to drill it dont over tighten the spoiler when u fit it
