Can this be done.
I want to use the wiper relay to open the boot popper.
I dont need to have anything marked up for mot?

yep it can be done, you just need to move the metal rod around and then attach a spring to the motor (needs to compress rather than stretch though if that makes sense)

ive already removed the motor.
I was just wondering where the relay was located and that if the supply to the motor was strong powerfull enogh to drive a solenoid

you can use the wiper feed wires to power a solinoid, i'll see if i can find the pic of the wiring

cut the wire (520 gr) on the plug connector that was fitted to the rear wiper motor, crimp a new terminal on it and attch it to the soiinoid, then attach a earth wire to the other terminal on the soliniod and then to a earth poin on the boot.
next u need to go to the drivers footwell area and remove the trums under the steering wheel. you now need to do the following to the wires shown in this pic

after this you should be able to use the rear wiper switch to activate ur boot release soliniod. (rememebr if the solinoid pushes outwards rather then inwards swap the terminals around on the solinoid.

this is how my pop boot is wired up, works a treat, if ya remember not to pop it half way up the motorway thinkin its the wiper:oops:

oh yeah.
hmm. might just pop it onto a blank switch
