Just wondering if the front end of the car can be replaced. Ill try to explain the part i mean as much as i can without pics as i dont have any. If you take the bumper off its the bottom metal part underneath the radiator, as mine is all bent from the previous owner, and the lights and bumper dont sit right and i cant seem to sort it. Was just wondering if this part can be replaced as i thought it maybe welded or something but i am unsure could some explain it to me if it can or cant be repaired. Thanks alot

The part you're takling about is the lower cross member. It can be replaced quite easily by cutting the original out and welding a new one in.
Sounds like your car's been in a front ender. Start by taking the bumper, rad, slam pannel and everything else you can off and compare the measurements between certain points with a mates saxo. If they are badly out it might need a play with a lump hammer!

Cheers mate might do it when it gets a big hotter and i when i can be with out a car for a few days. How much would a garage charge to get the lower cross member welded on? Thanks Mate

I reckon you'd be looking at £50-60 to replace the part plus about £30 for the part itself. Just a case of lining up everything properly after that.
Still hunting down a contact close to you for you to hire lights btw.....

Thanks alot mate really appreciated cant give you any more rep at the moment! Might look into getting the front end sorted then as it makes the front look ugly as the light, bonnet and grill dont sit right. Might look into seeing what garages local would do that and what sort of price. Cheers

has this been in a crash if so it might need to be put on a geomatry machine and may be more hidden damage then you think

Well i think the owner before me have hit something at the front not sure what sort of damaged it caused. Would having it tested cost alot, dont want it to reveal loads of problems that will cost me a bomb which is what im scared about lol. Hopefully its just the wing and lower cross member damaged. Thanks
