I don't believe it, but then again, have no reason to not lol. Just sounds like a load of old ball bags!
Although saying that, i think i remember a test on topgear which meant putting your keys against your head and being able to lock it from further away or something!

dont remember seeing on TG but heard of that before aswell...
its something to do with the fillings in your teeth or something

not true.
if you hold your phone away at arms length, its hard to hear who your talking to let alone them hear you ok.
Now if they press your button which is a specific radio wave, it will not sound the same the other end, hence not unlocking you car.
One that does work though is holding the key by your temple and pressing it.
You will double the distance you can lock/unlock your car.
Your skull acts as a satelitte dish :)

mind you, i don't supopse it can be any worse than holding a mobile next to your head either.

Its done on waves not sound
and it wouldent be able to pass down a phone signal anyway as the signal is modulated and demodulated at each end, so any data that did manage to tag along would be leaked anyway

i have done this ONCE when i was doing some part time delivery work ages ago. I locked them in with the car RUNNING! my old man had to drive out with a spare set

hahah. Im very tempted to try this. I'd be interested to know if it works.
Like the head one, saw that on tg - supposedly kills a fair few brain cells every time though lol

Ive locked them in millions of times in the astra but its not a hard car to break into so im usually fine...
Just a bastard when its raining!!!!!
As for using a phone to unlock the car from home i think is a bit, how you say ballaxxxx
