I'm going to go for the Gmax Saxo kit i think. What do you guys think of them? A little cheaper than Spax, Koni's etc but seem to have good reviews around the net. Any owners out there? How are they?

Thanks in advance.

honestly mate just pay the extra 100 pound. if your gonna pay 350 for kit fitted etc you may aswell go another tonne. you have the advantage of selling a decent kit then if you put back to standard in future.

Iv got the GMAX kit on mine and its really good! I dont know why people dont like this make! The guy i spoke to said that the GMAX kit never has any problems and it never gets sent back wheras other kits are forever going wrong - its not an easily fixed problem if the kit has to be removed etc!

if you've ever been in a car with 'quality' suspension of the likes made say by Bilstein then you'd notice the difference.

I'd save for a set of Group N Billys myself..

that is true but also people dont want tp spend 500 on suspension kit, so a mid range kit is a compromise

The sprintline billies are perhaps more of a midrange choice and are under 400.

I've been in a few cars with the likes of PI suspension and been truely afraid that the car was going to bounce into a ditch. Spend a bit more and the ride is firm, not crashy, controlled over uneven ground and the car is easier to drive.

I'd love to buy the best of course but is it really worth it on £2500 car? That's what i am pondering, i know we all love our Saxos and thus tend to overrate them a tad (admit it!) but they are hardly a real performance car... extreme suspension seems a little overboard to me!
Thanks for the comments guys, some great stuff here, keep them coming.

Spax offer a really rough ride IMO?

You could have mine if I could be arsed to take them off.

I'd heard that, thanks for the input. I'm trying to be open minded but the more i read the more the Gmax kit looks the best option. Great reports from most people and each of the other brands have a few 'niggles' that are putting some people off.
