Just done the deal on my insurance for another year this morning.

Best quote was £800.30 with Admiral.

So i phoned them up, went through all the details.

Then she said, why didn't you mention you had an accident in november 2006?

i was like :fcuk:!!

So it ended up being £919!!!

i think im gonna go round to the persons house who hit me, and demand £120 off him!!!

What you lot think?

If you didn't declare a material fact then when they find out, they will recalculate the insurance. If the claim is still extant then the insurance company will see a claim that they have paid out on rather than the other person's insurance.

If the claim has been completely settled, then the insurance company may just be loading you as a higher risk due to the circumstances of the accident. Blame will have been apportioned between the two parties.

The third possibility is that they are doing it because they can!
