We've been debating this at work this morning. I reckon one of the players had to have been in the room at the time.

Agree with babers. The book would have spilt a few too many beans.

Cant say much about some of the comments in this thread but personally I think there shocking.

Someone has been murdered and your making jokes about it!? Do it elsewhere if you must.

Back to the original question, it will be someone he knew as there were no signs of a break in etc so he would have let them into the room.
