Davew's VTS Progress thread. Beach photo session, few changes page 7

Right have been meaning to make one of these for along time.

The initial idea was to start with some pics of when i first got her and then gradually show what happened over time.

That was until my pc fucked up and all my pictures are nowstuck on it...shit.

anyways until i can work out a way to get back on it i'm just gunna have to show some of the pictures that i took after i washed it today.

When i bought it the wheels that it came with some 17's which at the time i didnt think looked to shabby, looking back now i reallise that the best thing that i have done is stackthem in the garage and run some 15's as well.

erm pretty much full system including de-cat and a bmc cda induction.

dont spose u know anywhere taht doesit for that do u luke?,
because i remember speaking to damo about it before and he payed like ~£700 :n: and they still broke a couple of bits lol.

welll after a small incident with a lampost in the wet, my girlfriend quickly lost touch with her clio lol....

So she was wondering what she could get next, looked around for a while at loads of different things but there was bugger all about. So we borrowed her dads Mg zr (slow) and shot of all over kent looking for a new car for her...

we looked at plenty of shitters ( including the worst crash repaired vtr ever lol) And plenty of Things we couldnt afford ( 206cc, which would have suited her down to the ground being blonde lol)


butttt..... we found bugger all....

After coming back from driving around looking with no success all day.

Eventually she gave in and said 'i idolise you sooo much dave i need to buy the same car as you'

so i said 'ok i understand, just get a different colour'

(This didnt really happen but its how i like to remember it, she sais its because she could still insure it cheaper fully comp then i can tpft after she just got a 5k pay out, having a dick sucks sometimes :( )

well its already lowered 50 mm all round so thats sorted. and its got the same induction as what you have just bought so thats that lol.

she wants so black alloys for it and some black headlights lights etc..

Small update...


my car is currently running vts wheels after purchasing some from jungle jim yesterday.

The plan was to run the s wheels whilst i cleaned and refurbed the black ones. except now i have put the vts rims on i really like them....

So they chances are i am gunna have both sets refurbed to mint and just change them round when i feel like it ...

Now i wanna do something to the s wheels in the form of either painting or something....

Which colour do you think i should do the s wheels??

i really like anthracite s rims on a black car and i also like the polished style ive seen riggsy do ....

to be honest mine arent exactly mirrored as i didnt want them like that, they look a lot better than they were anyway and i think theres only 2 people with VTR polished rims up to now

Until the beginnaing of this week nothing has happened to the sax for about 6 months. Most of this though is due to not having sod all money as ive moved out of home and now have way to many things to pay for nowadays!

yeah well it was going pretty well on saturday fitting these babies until........

bugger....

first of all. WHEN removing the alternator we discovered the belt was absolutely shagged :( shit. so afetr about 2 hours of driving aroud the seaside town of deal to find one and returning unsuccessfull we managed to hget one delivered from ramsgate for the grand sum of £ 1.23 :) touch....
Then ....
the bolts that hold the pulleys onto the cams didnt fit :(:(:(

Apparantly the pulley bolts on single plug ecus are different to the three plug and the cat cams require the earlier bolts which are m11's rather than the later engines that have m10's

was absolutely gutted that it wasent finished on saturday b ut it will be done tommoz night now that qep have sent me the right bolts for free.

I'll get some more pictures then aswell but untill then ive only got the one that shows my engine just before we whipped the old cams out.

Now the ecu's flapping about, the cam covers are of and the alternator belt is off!!

so its been so long now since i updated this thread i thought it was about time i did something about it :)

Not alots really happened tbh for a while due to moving house etc so been abit quiet.

the only real change is the new exhaust system which i changed about 3 months ago now.

Bugger me is it better , always hated the way my car sounded before and now i love it.

so ripped all the old shit of and now theres a piper 3" outwardly rolled backbox sitting infront of a supersprint centre section. It sounds so much better i cant even begin to describe how much happier i am with it.

Also it spits flames which is a bonus lol.

This weekend

being as the was bugger all else going on and it was filthy thought i would give the car a was and a good polish, wax etc.

Then i was going to take some photos :)
But her indoors wanted to go to the beach :(

so using my cunningness i agreed to go so that i could combine the two together :P
