yeah i was going to suggest using different fillers and sanding down between layers till its ultra smooth then get it sprayed up..... smileys/smiley10.gif
or alternativley use candle wax smileys/smiley2.gif

just make sure you sand down the dash etc before applying the filler to give it a really good key

IM buying a dash soon just to do this and spray it silver...
All im gunna do is Sand off ALL The grain...then rough it up and spray...how i would usually spray plastic...building up THIN layers of paint till i get the right effect....careful of FLAKE...but you wont be able to get as good as job as a bodyshop NO WAY...
A bodyshop would want about £500 for smoothing and spraying a dash...

blobs you can get as good effect as a body shop at home no problem at all, all you need to do is invest in a compressor and a spray gun.
I personally would do it that way, i.e. sand all the grain off and spray it from there

Great minds think alike...
But scott....if you want a good effect...you need to have -
- Compressor
- spray gun
- Confined area ( with ventilation )
- SKill
- Heaters
- etc
Its so hard to get a good effect in a normal area...even in a garage with all the doors shut and eveything you get dust and stuff around you...

lol blobs i have sprayed many a thing and have done a much better job than other "proffessional" body shops out there
spraying is not hard its more about method and patience. Agreed though findind some where dust free is hard but thats when you use your head to make dust free spray areas smileys/smiley2.gif
