i have this crazy idea of takin the bass off my pc speakers and tryin to hook up a spare 10 " sub i have next to my pc.would this be able to work how would i be able to power my sub at all.
just an idea but i dont know if i can do it.

you will need to check the ohms rating of the PC speakers they will probably be 8 or 4. Then you will need to check to see what kind of power the PC speakers amp has from it.
But in theory it should work, just depends if the amp from the pc has enough power to move the cone on the subsmileys/smiley17.gif

i have a shitty 10" sub and a good 1 would it be better to use the shitty 1 cos it is'nt as powerfull ?

if the "shitty" one is rated correctly for the system then just use it, if you fancy a mess around though then use the "better" one, but you could fuck things up.
Just disconnect the origional speaker and use the same to wires is connected by to connect the new one

rite i wanna keep my original speakers connected to my pc for the vocals snd stuff.but i av the sub and box but what kinda wires do i use from the sub box and where do i connect this wire 2 ??
can i connect it into the back of my harddrive sumwhere ?

no!
you could splice it into the existing wires but to be honest i dont think they will even have enough power to make the sub move, and by splicing your increasing the chances of fucking it up big time

would be easier if you just chopped the origional speaker off but leave yourself some wire so you can rejoin it if the sub doesnt work. That way you would have one speaker and a sub. Again just watch you could possibly fuck the speaker and in extreme circumstances the sound card and maybe more smileys/smiley3.gif
