I would tend to chose sony over microsoft, lesser of 2 evils. If you were to sell your 360 you would get a better deal selling it asap then being consoleless for a month or 2 til the ps3 becomes more reasonbly priced.

As it stands though the ps3 has failed to impress me, then again i wasnt impressed with the 360 either. Need to wait on some decent game for the ps3 to see what its really capable of!

you dont actually get 60gb on the 60gb, i looked on the setting and the operating system takes up a fair bit leaving you will 55gb, then download a few demos, i have about 6 and a few game saves and im down to 43gb already, so i wouldnt advise getting the 20gb version

Purchased mine today mr leckie, nice piece of kit actually. The layout etc is all the same as a psp so very simple to use :), only got ridge racer and this war game so far though so can't really comment on how good they are... ridge racer being an old game and all.

Graphics are a little bit better than the 360 i would say (for ridge racer), im sure the newer games like GT HD will blow everything out the water though :)

p.s games are 40 quid :P well mine was from game station :S

lol! Yea i noticed you can do that, i was downloading GT HD (demo) and playing ridge racer online, must admit it's pretty good for online play.. i thought the ps3 would be crap but it isent to bad. You just can't communicate like you can on the 360.

the ps3 is not really any better technology wise to the xbox. They will not be lowering the price for a long time as Sony lose $200 a console sold. They are also not bringing the 20gb version to Europe.
Microsoft make $70 per console so expect a price cut in the coming months.

The PS3 chip is better but it only has one cache to share between all its cell processors so may end up being a bottleneck. The 360 has three processors with three caches so has a better pipeline out which may or may not end up being significant. The PS3 graphics chipset is worse too. Add this to the fact that the xbox is easier to code for, and games are being made primarily for the xbox then ported to the pS3 is not a good sign.

mine is the hong kong version which means you dont have to change the power supply only swap the kettle style lead for one with a uk plug.

i think the US are 110v, not 100% sure, i read around when getting one and somepeople said you had to change the powersupply others said you didnt. Im not sure if the psp is the same but i use my US one with just a uk travel adaptor.
i think the european ones are the same as the HK version where you just change the lead not the powersupply unit. cables are only a couple of quid i think the power units range from £20 to 40

I am an Amercian living in the UK.

I have a PS3 though I have it plugged straight into the UK mains, which is 240v. Even though both the Japanese and US PS3 have 100v on the sticker on the bottom the Power supply inside is universal inside.

I have buddies who running both Japanese and US PS3's here in the UK. One of my buddies was brave enough to remove the case on his US PS3 and look at the power supply which clearly had 1 100v-240v. In the same way as the PSP charger is universal.

Runs on a UK kettle cord no problem.

Plus playing with 40 other people online on Resistance is more fun then any game i play online with the 360..

I love my 360 its amazing.. but my PS3 in my opinoin is alot better
