that your not appreciated in your workplace....as if you get looked over.

Recently in my workplace I seem to be bottom of the list to get asked or get involved.

Before Xmas I was promised a new computer to cope with the 3d package elements that we use in our offices. Had my staff apprasial and my boss told me I was first in line for new computer. Had a few days holiday to Dublin other week. This morning computer techy guys turned up with new computer...big monstorous spec....21inch tft flat monitor and remote control start system.

But its not for me.....its for my collegue who asked for a new computer last week... Piss take?

Yes matey its wank, its cos you have probably been there from the start of your career. Im the same at my place, pulled a sickie today to knock up a CV and get some application letters filled out. I hate my workplace with a passion. Hope to god i can get out soon and start earning a wage i deserve.

I think the worst thing is when you bend over backwards for your boss/supervisor and get sod all in return.

Im currently doing so many little jobs for my boss giving up free time and even on occasion ive gone without a tea break to help him out, and who gets the job over easter holiday? The other guy who dont do anything.

Its like thanks alot i do all this work and dont get any rewards like getting the huge rates for easter work and the bonus. =/

I've been at my work place for 6 years now doing the same job, day in, day out.

People have joined the department and have been promoted after being here just over a year... no sign of me getting any promotion though.

My Salary has only gone up £4K in 6 year too, which is a piss take.

I looked for a new job last year and went for a few interviews.... didn't get a couple of the jobs, but got offered the last one I went for, but turned it down for many reasons.

Gonna start looking again soon.

Chris :)

Ad why dont you have a look for other jobs and see what other firms are offering and make a point of you training people up and do a progression comparison with what you are doing now to what you were doing last year. Then throw it in you bosses face then say "money, c*nt"

working for my brother at the moment, runs his own IT business, going well. basically doing alot of the shit he cant be arsed to do (e.g sit on sax-p all day) and he openly admits that. but he also gets annoyed when i dont take it seriously, however when i ask for help with something he merely brushes it off as unimportant. cant really win but i spose thats a con of working with family, however there are many many pro's aswell...

I can't do that... I work in London.... nowhere near me would pay me as much to do the same type of job.

I feel like that a lot at work, but i think its cause im a student doing my placement and nothing ever seems good enough. It annoys me everyone has to learn in the same way, just because they are qualified doesnt mean they are high and mighty.

I hate when that happens, when they promise u something and give it to someone else, its just not fair
