A "friend" placed some left over oil in my boot without replacing the cap properly... I drove home without knowing.

Oil was everywhere in the boot and under the lining... its also got under the rear seats alot.

The boot lining has been chucked, the seats have been taken out and the car inside has been washed thoroughly.

I now have leather/alcantara seats soaked in oil right to the foam, luckily as the oil just crept underneath the seats it hasnt damaged the leather etc. You cannot remove the covers fully as they are stitched in...

I have a steam cleaner, should I dilute some kind of degreaser into the water? Any ideas???

Help!
Cheers :drink:

You could try a diluted degreaser, but as soon as you have used it use a propper leather cleaner then a feeder because i think degreaser will dry the leather out. . . .

Also just an idea but you could try Tufanega (use to be called Swarfega) It gets oil ond grease off of skin so should work on leather, again though as soon as you have used it leather clean then feed it. . . .

dont use Tufanega mate. the grains in it will scratch the leather up a treat.
