Its stemed from somewhere hasnt it? sadly a few years back most of the unruly families, single-yob crime waves, that tit that won the lottory, have pretty much had the same thing in common -> their terrible fashion sense. Its the first thing as humans we identify someone as, human nature, not so much thinking in small ways.

Sadly now the whole 'chav' thingy (not on here as much but in general) has pretty much lumped, unfairly perhaps, a massive group of people together. Its starting to move from teasing to full on bullying now of the lower-classes which is slightly nasty in my opinion.

just because you wear a cap dont mean you are a chav. I occasionally wear trackie bottoms to play football in (in the winter) or when im doing odd jobs as they are comfortable and easy to wash. I get called a chav every time i wear them.

I would call someone a chav if they happened to be wearing a lacoste tracksuit, have cap balanced on there head, wear soverign rings and talk like a twat :p
